Some of the royal monsters can be located early in the game, but other more powerful royal monsters can be encountered only much later. In any case, you will want to hunt these tough monsters down for their materials.
Monster Hunter Stories 2: All Royal Monsters Locations
Monster Hunter Stories 2 Royal Tigrex Location
The first royal monster, which is the Tigrex, can be found in the Alcala Valley (see the map above for exact location indicated by the Player marker).
This striped monster is weak to Electric damage and his head is specifically weak to Slashing damage.
You can use Shock Trap to keep it down and then strike his head with your sword for victory.
Royal Tigrex drops the following materials:

Monster Hunter Stories 2 Royal Monoblos Location
This flying wyvern can be found in the inner parts of the Harzgai Rocky Hills. You will need to break through a rock wall using a rock-breaking monstie and follow the path to the end until you find Monoblos sleeping on the ground.
Just like Tigrex, this royal monster is weak to Electric damage. This means that you can use Shock Trap to calm it down, and then you need to aim for its stomach, tail, and horns using your sword.

Monster Hunter Stories 2 Royal Gammoth Location
This fanged beast is located right next to a Woodland caravan stand in Loloska. It is the easiest royal monster to find.
Gammoth is primarily vulnerable to Fire damage. Then you can use blunt weapons, such as a hammer or hunting horn, on its legs, body, and head.
Finish your attacks by slashing his tail and trunk off with your great sword. The Galvenus Kinship skill will help you significantly in this fight as well.

Monster Hunter Stories 2 Royal Zinogre Location
This fanged wyvern can be found on the Snowclad Mount Lavina at Glacial Peaks.
Zinogre is especially weak to Ice damage in combination with Blastblight. Then you can focus your bow or gunlance on its body and head dealing piercing damage. You can finish it off by slashing its tail off with your sword.
Royal Zinogre drops the following materials:

Monster Hunter Stories 2 Royal Brute Tigrex Location
Brute Tigrex is a much stronger variant of the Tigrex. If you’re looking specifically for Tigrex materials to craft gear and weapons, then aim for Brute Tigrex instead of the ordinary one.
This flying wyvern can be located at the Sadona Barrens in the East Lamure Desert. It’ll be peacefully sleeping, but expect some powerful attacks once you wake it up.
Similar to an ordinary Tigrex, this royal monster is weak to Electric damage. Once again, you can use a Shock Trap to paralyze it, and then aim for its head with any of your blunt weapons. But it is advisable to use hammer in this case instead of a hunting horn.
Royal Brute Tigrex drops the following materials:

Monster Hunter Stories 2 Royal White Monoblos Location
The White breed of the Monoblos monster is similar to Brute, which provides players with harder materials for their armor and weapons.
This flying wyvern can be seen on the side path of the Jalma Highlands in the East Lamure Desert.
White Monoblos is mostly vulnerable to Electric damage and piercing weapons. You can use either your bow or your gunlance to damage its legs, tail, and horns. Basically, use the same strategy as with the normal Monoblos, but remember that this monster will be tougher to beat.
